IMPORTANT NOTES ON PERSONAL CHEQUES / CLEARANCES / CHARGES

All personal cheques (that is , a cheque drawn on your personal bank account or the account of a business owned by you)  will be subject to 14 days clearance . Carriage times of an extra several days may extend delivery up to 21 days therefore if you remit by cheque you must allow 21 days for delivery.   Delivery will probably be a lot less than this but if your order is urgent  or has to hit a deadline, please choose another form of payment such as Credit / Debit Card,  Cash,  Postal Orders, Banker's Cheques.
We do not enter into correspondence about delayed orders paid for by personal cheque until 21 days have elapsed. Customers who are anxious about cheque delays should pay for our PARO service (Postal Acknowledgement of Receipt of Order) by which we will inform you by post on immediate receipt of your order and quote an estimated delivery date.

Please make cheques out to:   'The Sorcerer's Apprentice'

CHEQUE ALTERATIONS:  All cheques must be correct when presented. We do not accept amended or countersigned or post dated cheques.  Please make sure your cheques are perfectly made out before you send them otherwise they will be sent back to you.
We do not accept cheques from other people to pay for your orders.  The payer must be the buyer.
URGENT ORDERS: If your order is urgent or time based please DO NOT PAY BY CHEQUE. Instead choose another instantaneous form of payment (  Sterling Cash (GBP)    Euro Cash   British Postal Orders, Credit / Debit Card  British personal Cheques,  Banker's Cheques from U.K.  Bankers' Cheques from Overseas ).  Regular customers may find that orders paid for by cheque may not be delayed depending upon amount spent and previous buying record.  However, a sequence of orders paid for by cheques which are despatched by return does not mean that all cheques submitted will avoid the normal cheque delay and so YOU MUST NOT USE A CHEQUE IF YOUR ORDER IS URGENT OR TIME BASED.  Cheques are fine if you are in no hurry.
BANK FEE:   The banks are working towards attenuating the use of cheques by applying swingeing charges for handling.  If you choose to pay by cheque please add £1.00 to cover the Bank Paying in Fee,  as shown in the box provided on the Order Form.

If you reside outside the U.K. please DO NOT send personal cheques or money orders.  If you want to order you must use a Credit/Debit card or a Banker's Cheque or send Euro notes,  US dollar notes, or British Pound Notes.  Please click here for full details of how to remit from overseas.
