PAYING BY OVERSEAS BANKER'S CHEQUES

Banker's Cheques are a guaranteed form of payment. They simplify the ordering procedure and for overseas clients who do not have a debit or credit card  Banker's Cheques are the ideal form of payment when ordering from us.

You can order a Banker's Cheque from any bank simply by handing them the money over the counter but if you have an account with the bank it is sometimes cheaper.   These are the points you  must make sure are adhered to:

(1)   The Banker's Cheque must be made out in STERLING (British pounds and pence not in Euros , dollars or any other currency) and

(2) it must be 'DRAWN ON A BRITISH BANK' ask your bankers using that  exact phrase. 'Drawn on A British Bank' Your bank will already have a nominated account with a British Bank to cover all their sterling currency transactions and will know what to do.

(3)  Make the Banker's Cheque out to:  THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE

(4)  Postage.  All prices on this website are given in British Pounds. To simplify please calculate all totals in British Pounds.  If you want to know how much the total cost is in U.S.dollars, Euros etc click here for a helpful conversion facility but calculate all the totals first in GBP (Great Britain Pounds) as it is less confusing.  Please make sure the amount of the cheque includes the cost of your goods plus 25% extra  to cover airmail ( or 15% for airmail within continental Europe).  For example. If the total of the goods you have ordered is £100.00  and you are ordering from the U.S.A. then £100.00 x 25% =  £25.00 so have the Banker's Cheque made out for £125.00 British Pounds which includes airmail carriage.  Thirty years experience shows these averages to be right in most cases but if a combination of unusually lightweight items drops the airmail costs then we will always credit you with the difference anyway. We only charge you what it actually costs to airmail the order. We don't make profit on postage.  Please Note; On a few of our special offers we quote the U.K. price and  an Overseas Airmail inclusive price. Obviously if you are ordering just that one item then by all means use the Overseas Airmail Inclusive Price quoted but if your order includes multiple items then total everything in UK prices and add on 25% or 15% to cover airmail as shown above.

(5) So, write out your order and list the items you require, total them up in British Pounds, add 25% or 15% for airmail to get your final total. Go to your bank and ask them for a Banker's Cheque DRAWN ON A BRITISH BANK in Sterling to the amount of your final total and have them make the cheque out to 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice'.   They will write the cheque out for you there and then.  Mail the cheque and order to us. Your goods will be on their way to you the day we receive it and be with you within 7 - 14 days depending on whereabouts in the world you live. .

Your bank will know how to arrange all this easily.  Make sure that they stick to these requirements and do not let them persuade you to use another method other than those we have outlined.  We can encash a bankers cheque made out this way immediately and we get the exact amount shown on the cheque - no shortfall, no complications.

Please do not remit using any other method (unless cleared with us by phone or email beforehand).  If ordering from overseas NEVER, EVER, send Money Orders, Home country Postal Orders or Personal Cheques; Western Union or anything else.    These forms of payment can take up to three months to clear before we can send you the goods and often cost more than £30.00 extra in bank charges to encash which can wipe out most of your remittance.   Follow our recommendations above and everything will be remarkably trouble-free and swift.  We have supplied our global customer base regularly for over 30 years.  You will be surprised at how easy it really is once you have done it the first time.
