Alternatively if you have a credit/debit card then you can email the order form to us.  Click on www.sorcerers-apprentice.co.uk/orderfor.htm  and step through our on-line order form which will lead you through the entire process.  Q: Who do I make Cheques/Postal Orders out to ?

Q:  How can I find out how much it will cost me in my home currency?

A:  Total your order using prices from the website and then go www.sorcerers-apprentice.co.uk/currenco.htm which will provide you with an exact conversion into your home currency.

Q: Is postage included in the prices?

A:  Yes, U.K. Postage is included in all prices. Just pay what you see. If you are ordering from Europe you should add 15% and if you are ordering from the U.S.A. or rest of world then you should add 25%  to cover extra shipping.  The overseas order form reminds you to do this.

Q: I know that today many people are open about their beliefs but I am in a particularly delicate situation and want to keep my privacy intact,  will anyone know and how do you send parcels?

A:  You are right to ask - industry wide some traders simply don't care once they have your money, but with us it's different.  We want you to return time and time again to buy from us with trust, so we take care. Parcels are sent to you in fully sealed plain wrapping without any indications on the outside where it has come from. Our trading name is not included.  It is impossible for anyone handling the parcel to deduce what's in the parcel and who sent it.   For over a quarter of a century we have dealt with  tens of thousands of regular clients . We supply some very high profile people as well as lots of regular folk. Not once has a clients' confidentiality been breached.   Like everything else we do, our  order processing system is unique and specially developed to protect the privacy and confidentialities of each client which are sacrosanct. Even their partner or relatives will not know.   The professionalism is in the detail you don't notice but which we take care of;  for example, if you order anything aromatic it is double-bagged so that an outsider cannot smell it.  Packets are striped with sealing tape over your address label - if anyone tries to interfere with your packet it will be evident. Literature is always sealed into plastic for protection and to show whether tampering has occurred.   Obviously people with sensitive interests simply would not purchase from us year after year if they suspected that we did not care or were inept at confidentiality. If you have had a bad experience in the past, forget it, we are not like the others. Order once and any anxieties will be fully allayed.

Q: I want to make an enquiry. How can I get personal and technical advice?

A:  Advice or recommendations on goods you are thinking of purchasing is obviously free.  Send an email to

If you are an existing customer you are also entitled to free technical help and advice  but you must quote your customer/SAOS number when enquiring (it's on the address panel of your last receipt) .  Send an email setting out your enquiry succinctly to

We also do our best to assist (gratis) people who have not yet purchased but, depending on the type and extent of their enquiry , a charge may be made. We will either answer directly for free or advise you of the charge for your acceptance before charging.  Please see www.sorcerers-apprentice.co.uk/enquiry.htm for details before making your enquiry if you are unsure. Additionally if you want advice about the way your life is progressing and what is in store in the future for you then you can avail yourself of an I-Ching Divinatory Reading with Marabas

Q: Can I call and pick up items from you?

A: Since 1994  we have been 100% mail-order and it is not now possible to call and collect items.  The full reasons why Frater Marabas decided to concentrate upon mail-order supplies is given on www.sorcerers-apprentice.co.uk/whyallma.htm

Q:  I want something rather special which I do not see listed, can you make-to-order?

A: Yes, our bespoked equipment service is well-known amongst our regular clientele.  We can have almost anything made for you at a price. The cost will depend very much on the materials (gold talismans are not inexpensive!) but all our bespoked items are excellent quality and finish. Send a diagram / sketch / cutting or photocopy of the item you require with full details of how you see it (Click here for a form eliciting information we require from you)   along with £5.00 to cover the cost of a firm quotation (refundable against subsequent purchase of the item).

Q:  Your order form asks for the stock-code of items but  I want to order some books and cannot find a stock-code?

A:  There are stock-codes for books (isbns) but  they are ten digit numbers . Experience shows that customers dislike them and tend to transcribe them incorrectly causing ambiguity in their orders so we dispense with them. All we need is the title and the author and price. That three-way check is a more certain id.

Q:  I have a shop and want to stock Sorcerer's Apprentice items to sell to my customers, can you send me a trade pricelist?

A:  I am afraid that we do not supply to the trade - it is often difficult enough just obtaining the rare items we sell in sufficient quantities for our own clientele but there are other more ideological reasons why Marabas will not sell to other traders. These are outlined on www.sorcerers-apprentice.co.uk/trade.htm

Q: I haven't got a credit or a debit card - can I send you a U.S. Money Order instead?

A:  No. Please do not under any circumstances send us a U.S. Money Order.  These are dealt with by the British banks as a foreign cheque. They can take up to six months to clear and cost £30.00 (thirty pounds) extra in bank charges to encash . These charges can virtually wipe-out most of your remittance so please DO NOT send U.S. Money Orders. They are only good for use inside the U.S.  There are other , much better, almost instantaneous ways of remitting without using a credit or debit card which our overseas clients find inexpensive and convenient such as Paypal. Full details of these are given on www.sorcerers-apprentice.co.uk/paypal.htm www.sorcerers-apprentice.co.uk/remittan.htm

Q: Why dont' you use a shopping cart system for ordering, like other companies?

A:  Well actually we do, kind of.  On most of our website special offers you will find Paypal Buttons at the bottom of the page. Click these and you will be taken through to the Paypal System where you can pay using a shopping Cart System.  See also the One Pound button on www.sorcereres-apprentice.co.uk/paypal.htm.  You can send us your order via email without your card details, add it up and then pay the total via Paypal using multiples of the One-Pound button.

To us the web is just another method of communication; like the phone, or Fax or a written letter. Thousands of people send us emailed orders on a regular basis without worry and without fuss.   Try it once and you will see that we know that of which we speak.

Ends.
