SPHINX CONTACT SERVICE; Terms, Conditions and Restrictions:   Age Limit:  All applicants will confirm that they are over the age of 18 when they submit their Announcement/s Traders:  This is a person-to-person contact service and no Traders are allowed.   If you are out to sell something or rustle new contacts for a business you must make that clear under the Sale of Goods and Services Act.   To do otherwise is to breach English law.  If you are unsure please write to us beforehand and we will advise for there may be other effective (and legal)  methods of achieving your needs. Organisations:  The SPHINX is intended  mainly for personal use.  Organisations, Groups and/or Temples who wish to place advertisements should enclose a copy of their aims and objectives.  If printed literature is to be sent to respondees we will need to see a sample of everything in the pack.   Box Numbers and Pseudonyms: We do not accept advertisements from people using Box number addresses, nor anyone using pseudonyms or magical names. You may choose touse any pseudonym you like within the wording of your anouncement but for security purposes we must have your birth-name on your order. Equal Opportunities:  The S.A. is an equal opportunity employer and the SPHINX contact service is not a dating agency.  The assumption is that  male or/and female contacts will be acceptable.  There are times when, for example, covens may require more females or males to balance up the polarities and a request for a specific gender preference  in their Announcements must be linked to a good reason such as this which must be clearly stated . Otherwise gender exclusive preferences will be deleted from applications. Cancellations. If any person is found contravening any of these rules or otherwise misusing the SPHINX service their Announcement may be withdrawn without notice until the matter has been investigated.  If the person is not at fault the Announcement will be reinstated.  If the complaints are founded the advertisement will be cancelled and there will be no refund for the balance of the period left to run.   If you choose to cancel during the term of your Announcement refunds for partial periods will not be given but we are likely (at our discretion) to offer you full pro-rata credit against other goods from our range of merchandise.    *N.B. We Reserve The Right To Reject Any Application Without Giving A Reason. Disclaimer:  The original SPHINX service has been running since 1985 with absolutely no breach of privacy, discretion, or misuse. We will run the electronic SPHINX to exactly the same standards . However we cannot guarantee the sincerity or intent of any advertisers or respondees and users should take sensible precautions.  It would be extremely difficult for any troublemaker to get through our screening processes but users should be cognisant that contact is made entirely at their own risk.   Unsatisfactory contacts  are highly unlikely  due to the natural screening processes in the SPHINX system but if users feel something needs attention we will assist, support and liaise with them to ensure  a successful outcome.
